Update: Incident due to a fault on this train between Carmarthen (CMN) and Pembroke Dock (PMD) until 07:30.

Due to a fault on this train between Carmarthen (CMN) and Pembroke Dock (PMD):

Services will be cancelled in both directions between Carmarthen (CMN) and Pembroke Dock (PMD).

We expect the incident to last until 07:30 and disruption to services is expected until 10:00.

What's Happened?

Due to a fault on this train the following services are disrupted.

The 06:15 Swansea to Pembroke Dock will now terminate at Carmarthen

The 09:00 Pembroke Dock to Cardiff Central will start at Carmarthen at 10:24.

We have organised a bus to meet the incoming service at Carmarthen to assist customers to complete their journey at no extra cost. This will arrive at Carmarthen at approximately 07:20 and will depart Pembroke Dock at approximately 09:00 and will be provided by Davies Coacvhes.

Alternative Travel Options

We have organised buses to run between Carmarthen and Pembroke Dock to help you complete your journey, at no extra cost. These will arrive at Carmarthen at approximately 07:20 and will depart Pembroke Dock at approximately 09:00 provided by Davies Coaches.

These arrangements are in place on services until 10:00.

Road Transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.

Update: Incident due to a shortage of train drivers between Pwllheli (PWL) and Machynlleth (MCN) until 10:15.

Due to a shortage of train drivers between Pwllheli (PWL) and Machynlleth (MCN):

We expect the incident to last until 10:15 and disruption to services is expected until 10:15.

We are currently experiencing service disruption between Machynlleth and Aberystwyth, as a result of a shortage of train drivers.

Due to a shortage of train drivers, the following services have been affected:

  • 06:22 Birmingham New Street - Aberystwyth will terminate at Machynlleth. This service will not call at Dovey Junction, Borth, Bow Street and Aberystwyth.
  • 09:27 Aberystwyth - Birmingham New Street will start at Machynlleth. This service will not call at Aberystwyth, Bow Street, Borth and Dovey Junction.

Our services between Machynlleth and Aberystwyth are disrupted in both directions.

We expect the incident to be cleared by 10:15. Train services will be disrupted until 10:15.

Alternative Travel Options:

We have organised buses to run between Machynlleth and Aberystwyth to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost. These will arrive at:

  • Machynlleth at approximately 08:48 provided by Lloyds, calling all stops to Aberystwyth.
  • Aberystwyth at approximately 09:27 provided by Lloyds, calling all stops to Machynlleth. This service will then set down customers as required to Shrewsbury.

Please note: rail replacement services are unable to call at Dovey Junction, owing to geographical restrictions. Customers for Dovey Junction are advised to wait for the next available service.

These arrangements are in place on services until 10:15.

Due to a fault on a train at Pantyffynnon (PTF):

Services will be cancelled in both directions between Swansea (SWA) and Llandrindod (LLO).

We expect the incident to last until 08:00 and disruption to services is expected from 05:45 until 10:00.

Alternative Travel Options:

We have organised buses to run between Swansea and Llandrindod to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost. These will arrive at Llandovery and will call all stops to Llandrindod at approximately 07:00 provided by Gower. Another replacement road transport bus will meet customers at Llandrindod and will stop as required as far as Shrewsbury. This service will be provided by Gower. Further replacement road transport will arrive into Llandrindod travelling all stops to Swansea at approximately 07:29 provided by Gower.

These arrangements are in place on services 09:00.
