Due to a safety inspection of the track between Harlech (HRL) and Barmouth (BRM):

Services may be delayed by up to 60 minutes.

Services may be cancelled in both directions between Machynlleth (MCN) and Pwllheli (PWL).

We expect the incident to last until 23:59 and disruption to services is expected until 23:59.

What's Happened?

Following an issue with the track earlier today, services are now able to run between Machynlleth and Pwllheli.

Disruption and cancellations are still expected until the end of the day due to a shortage of trains as a result of extreme heat.

We apologise for the disruption caused today.

Alternative Travel Options:

Customers can still use local bus services to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost until the end of the day:

T2 between Aberystwyth and Bangor with Traws Cymru

T3 between Barmouth and Dolgellau with Traws Cymru

G21 between Machynlleth and Dolgellau with Lloyds Coaches

G23 between Barmouth and Minffordd with Lloyds Coaches

T28 between Machynlleth and Aberystwyth with Lloyds Coaches

T3 between Porthmadog and Pwllheli with Cae Lloi

Customers travelling on T2 Traws Cymru buses to Bangor can connect with Transport for Wales rail services from Bangor to Birmimgham via Shrewsbury at no extra cost.

Due to a shortage of trains as a result of extreme heat, multiple services between Machynlleth and Aberystwyth are experiencing disruption and cancellations.

Very limited road transport is available, provided by Lloyds Coaches.

Road Transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.

We expect the incident to last until 20:00 and disruption to services is expected from 15:00 until 20:00.

What's Happened?

Due to a fault on a train, the 14:49 Service from Swansea is starting at Llandrindod, and the 17:33 service from Llandrindod to Swansea is cancelled.

Alternative Travel Options:

We have organised buses to run between Swansea and Llandrindod to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost. These will arrive at approximately :

15:15 at Swansea, calling all stations to Llandrindod - provided by Gower Mini Travel

17:33 at Llandrindod, calling all stations to Swansea- provided by AC Jenkins.

These arrangements are in place on services until 12:00

Road Transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.

Departures from Blaenau Ffestiniog at 0620, 0840, 1140 1440, 1740, 2010.

Approximate journey times are 15 minutes Llandundo to Llandudno Junction and 80 minutes Llandundo Junction to Blaenau Ffestiniog.

Please note other train services will operate between Llandundo and Llandudno Junction.
