When you buy a ticket with us, you’ll only ever pay the face value. We won’t charge you any other fees.

Online

You can buy tickets online and choose to send them by post, collect them from a ticket machine or download them as a Mobile barcode ticket.

  • If you’re buying a Mobile barcode ticket you can enter the name of the traveller during your booking. They’ll need to take some ID with them on their journey.
  • If you’re collecting tickets from a ticket machine, you’ll need to take your payment card with you. Please note, you will not be able to collect your tickets from a ticket vending machine if you’ve used payment methods such as Google Wallet, Apple Pay or PayPal. This is due to the payment app assigning a virtual card number, which cannot be verified for collection by the ticket vending machine.

On mobile/app

You can buy tickets and download them to our mobile app or choose to collect them from a ticket machine up to five minutes before the train departs.

You just need to download our app from the App Store or Google Play and select ‘m-ticket’ or ‘mobile ticket’ as your delivery option.

By phone

You can call us on 03333 211 202 and choose to receive your tickets by post or collect them from a ticket machine. Our lines are open 24/7 every day (except Christmas Day and Boxing Day).

At the station

You can buy tickets at one of our ticket offices or ticket machines. Our ticket machines only sell tickets for travel the same day. We accept all major credit and debit cards.

On the train

You must buy your ticket before you board the train unless there's no ticket office or ticket machine.
