Whitland
Overview On the West Wales line, Whitland station serves the Carmarthenshire town of Whitland. Forming part of the route from Cardiff in the southeast to Haverfordwest in Pembrokeshire, the station was opened in 1854, and has undergone several rebuilds since.
Wrexham Central
Overview Wrexham is served by two stations, Central and General, the former being the smaller of the pair. Originally opened in 1887, the current buildings were constructed in 1998 to be part of the new retail park being constructed in the area.
Prestatyn
Overview Opened in 1848, and designed by the son of the railway king, George Stephenson, Prestatyn station lies on the North Wales Coast Line. Bringing prosperity to the area, visitors flooded to the seaside resort.
Rhyl railway station
Overview The popular seaside resort of Rhyl is served by the two platforms of Rhyl station. Opened in 1848, the line takes passengers along the stunning Welsh coastline that borders the Irish Sea.
Ty Glas
Overview One of the 20 stations throughout Cardiff, Ty Glas station serves the Llanishen and Heath districts and is on the Coryton line. With only one track and one platform, passengers have to cross the track via a barrow crossing if they are travelling north.
Trefforest Estate
Overview Serving the small town of Trefforest near Cardiff, this station was built to cater for the workers at the local industrial estate. Opened in 1942, its two platforms were given new waiting rooms in 2016.
Pembroke Dock
Overview The town of Pembroke Dock in Pembrokeshire is served by the station of the same name, opened in 1864. The small fishing town was dominated by the former Royal Navy Dockyard, which still has many of its original buildings along the coastline.
