The Welsh seaside town of Rhyl is just a 5-minute train ride away from Prestatyn, allowing you to arrive relaxed and ready to enjoy your time in Rhyl.
With plenty of deals available on our ticket options, including our Advance, Anytime, or Off-peak tickets, you’ll have more left in your wallet. Rhyl is a pretty seaside resort in the Welsh county of Denbighshire, lying to the west of Prestatyn. With echoes of its elegant Victorian past in the town’s architecture, it has a number of listed buildings, but they are juxtaposed with the vibrant, cosmopolitan town it is today.

Most of its many attractions spread from the stunning seafront, with the west end home to the Rhyl SeaQuarium. There you can enjoy the antics of the gorgeous seals, walk under the waves to have a full-on shark experience, and feed the rays by hand! The Marine Lake is a man-made lake dating back to 1895 where you can find the Rhyl Miniature Railway, water sports and a fun children’s playground, and if the great outdoors is your thing, head for a stroll along the 177-mile Offa’s Dyke, named after the 8th-century King Offa of Mercia. With the linear earthworks original purpose lost in time, it may have been constructed to divide his kingdom of Mercia from Wales.
For the culture vultures amongst us, Rhyl has the Pavilion Theatre. Why not pop along to catch live music, comedy or contemporary theatre - the year-round programme has something for everyone.
Breathe the fresh seaside air in Rhyl after booking a ticket from Prestatyn with our downloadable app, which features timetables and real-time updates for easy travel arrangements. We also offer free wifi during the trip, so you can enjoy your day out.
