Is dining included with a First Class ticket?
No, it’s not. Refreshments and snacks are included in the cost of your ticket, but there's an additional charge for fine dining.
Can I upgrade from Standard Class to enjoy First Class dining?
Yes, you can usually upgrade from Standard to First Class. This applies to all our Standard tickets including Anytime and Advance Singles, Returns, Season tickets and Rover and Ranger tickets. Let your conductor know you’d like to upgrade and they’ll confirm if there’s space available in First Class. Please remember there’ll be an additional cost for any meals you order.
What if my train is changed or delayed - will I still get a meal?
Food and drink is only available on select services. If your train is changed or delayed, we cannot guarantee that First Class dining, food bar or trolley service will be provided.
Are there allergy-free, gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options?
Yes, we’ve got allergy-free, gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options that don’t compromise one bit on flavour. Ask your onboard host to find out what’s available.
