Due to more trains than usual needing repairs at the same time between Shrewsbury (SHR) and Aberystwyth (AYW):
Services will be cancelled in both directions between Aberystwyth (AYW) and Shrewsbury (SHR).
We expect the incident to last until 23:59 and disruption to services is expected until 23:59.
What's Happened?
Due to more trains than usual needing repairs at the same time, there will be multiple cancellations throughout the day between Aberystwyth and Shrewsbury.
The following services are cancelled:
- 05:37 Machynlleth - Aberystwyth
- 06:17 Aberystwyth - Shrewsbury
- 06:48 Welshpool - Aberystwyth
- 08:27 Aberystwyth - Shrewsbury
- 10:27 Shrewsbury - Aberystwyth
- 12:27 Aberystwyth - Shrewsbury
- 16:30 Shrewsbury - Aberystwyth
- 18:29 Aberystwyth - Shrewsbury
- 18:30 Shrewsbury - Aberystwyth
- 20:29 Aberystwyth - Machynlleth
- 20:32 Shrewsbury - Aberystwyth
- 22:27 Aberystwyth - Machynlleth
Alternative Travel Options:
We have organised buses to run between Shrewsbury and Aberystwyth to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost. The services listed below will be replaced by road transport.
- 20:32 Shrewsbury - Aberystwyth provided by Lakeside
- 22:27 Aberystwyth - Machynlleth provided by Lloyds
These arrangements are only in place on the services above.
Road Transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.
