Can I take my dog on a train?
Passengers may take a dog with them (maximum two per passenger), free of charge and subject to conditions below, provided they do not endanger or inconvenience passengers or staff.

Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times unless contained in a basket.

Dogs without leads must be carried in an enclosed basket, cage or pet carrier. It must be rigid and not open (to prevent escape) and the animal able to stand and lie down in comfort.

Can I bring my dog along for my First Class adventure?
Yes, we'll be pleased to welcome you and your dog on our First Class services. The same rules apply as on our Standard services.
- It's a maximum of two dogs per passenger.
- They'll need to be well-behaved and not cause a danger or inconvenience to our customers or colleagues.
- They'll need to be kept on a lead at all times unless they're in a secure, comfortable basket or other carrier.
- Please stow the basket in front of your seat and make sure it isn't blocking the aisle.
- If your dog isn't travelling in a basket, they'll be welcome to lie down in front of your seat to enjoy their ride.
You'll be pleased to hear there's no extra charge to bring your dog along for your First Class adventure.
Can I take my dog on the bus service?
- Normally dogs are not permitted on rail replacement bus services except guide dogs.
