What we’re doing

Our teams have been working hard behind the scenes to re-time services and run extra trains to help get you home after the match.

We are pleased to confirm that for the first time we have been able to put in place a post-match direct service from Cardiff to Holyhead. This service will depart at 23:00 on both match days. We know this will come as a welcome addition to many fans, we hope this helps fans from North Wales to be able to travel down to support and makes your journeys smoother.

What else have we done?

  • Over 60 additional carriages planned on TfW services over the two days pre and post-match.
  • Over 160 carriages total departing Cardiff after each match (22:00 onwards).
  • Additional capacity provided on services from North Wales to Cardiff on the day of the match.
  • More carriages and additional services provided to a range of destinations from Cardiff including Newport, Swansea, Carmarthen, Holyhead, Ebbw Vale, Barry Island, Caerphilly, Rhymney, Coryton Treherbert, Aberdare, and Merthyr Tydfil.

  • Planning your journey in advance.
  • Allowing extra time for travel, especially before kick‑off - we expect services to be busier than usual.
