Llŷn Peninsula

Llyn penisula

fflecsi Llŷn Peninsula will begin operating on Saturday 23 May - Sunday 6 September.

Fantastic coastline and unspoilt rurality - it's easy to see why the Llŷn Peninsula is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With beaches aplenty and quaint little villages to explore, the seasonal Llyn Peninsula fflecsi service can help you make the most of your time in this lovely part of Wales.

Things to do

  • Dive into the history of the Llŷn Peninsula by visiting its maritime museum in Nefyn.
  • Take up a spot of beach-hopping as you walk along the beautiful Wales Coastal Path.
  • Scale Llŷn’s highest peak, Carn Fadryn, and enjoy the marvellous panoramic views across the peninsula from the top - once an Iron Age hillfort.
  • Catch a boat off to Ynys Enlli, just off the tip of the Peninsula. Known as the ‘Island of 20,000 Saints’, it’s Europe’s first International Dark Sky Sanctuary. The island is open to visitors from March to October.

Onward connections

  • Connect to the Cambrian Line in Pwllheli for journeys towards Aberystwyth and Shrewsbury.

Tap on-Tap off

Tap on, Tap off (TOTO) is a simple method that customers can use to purchase an Adult ticket.

  • Simply tap your contactless debit card or device on the ticket machine reader when boarding the bus.
  • Then tap the same card or device on the Tap off Reader as you get off the bus.
  • The single fare between the two points is calculated.
  • If you make multiple trips and the fare reaches the price cap, which is currently the price of a 1bws Day ticket, you will get charged a maximum of £7.50 no matter how much your total fares are. If you’re making multiple journeys over 7 consecutive days, the system will work out if you’re better off paying for multiple 1bws Day tickets or a 1bws Weekly ticket.
