Six Nations 2026

In February and March 2026, the Principality Stadium will host three exciting weekends of international rugby as part of the Six Nations. Whoever you’re cheering for, we’re here to get you to the game and home again, smoothly and safely.

Car park closures

Due to rugby games at the Principality Stadium, car park closures will be in place at Cardiff Central on the below dates.

Riverside car park closed from 20:00 14 February 2026 to 04:00 16 February 2026.
Penarth Road car park closed from 06:00 11 February 2026 to 04:00 16 February 2026.

Riverside car park closed from 20:00 20 February 2026 to 04:00 22 February 2026.
Penarth Road car park closed from 06:00 18 February 2026 to 04:00 22 February 2026.

Riverside car park closed from 20:00 13 March 2026 to 04:00 15 March 2026.

Cardiff Bus Interchange closure

Cardiff Bus Interchange will close in line with road closures. Timings will be confirmed soon, as well as alternate locations to catch your bus.

Post-event queuing system

A queueing system will be in place at Cardiff Central post-match. Our priority is getting you home safe, please be patient with us, services will be busy, but we will get you boarded as soon as we can.

Taxi rank changes

Saunders Road taxi rank will close and there’ll be a temporary taxi rank at the rear of the Cardiff Central station. Timings will be confirmed soon.

 

Post-match

Tickets

Buy Before You Board

You must buy your ticket before getting on the train. To save time later, buy a return ticket on your way in. You can also buy your ticket on the TfW app or website tfw.wales. Revenue Protection Inspectors will be doing ticket checks before and after the game.

Ticket and purchasing checks will take place post-event following the Six Nations matches at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. For those using pay as you go, you will be able to tap out at the end of the queuing system.

Anyone under the influence of alcohol who is considered a threat to their own or public safety will be refused travel.
